LyX- How to insert LaTex code; using ERT ?
LaTex codes can be used along with LyX by using Evil Red Text (ERT).
These ERT’s are useful for inserting multicolumn author definition,
local control over environment, page orientation, number of columns,
text size, defining header and/or footers… and so on. For which the
corresponding LaTex code can directly be placed into yourarticle.lyx
using the ERT. I really love the name Evil Red Text; and an additional
specialty of these ERT’s is their ability to hide the EVIL LaTex code
for me (Right click on them ==> choose close inset) which gives a
neat look to yourarticle.lyx.
To insert the ERT; the default keyboard shortcut is CTRL+L, whereas to insert it via menu see image.1.
I hope this will be useful for some. If you have any questions/suggestions, please let me know.

How to use JabRef+Google Scholar for creating bibtex database?
Google Scholar allows to download BibTex citations as you Search for the article.
The other short method is to download the citations directly from the article publisher site. Where you have to search for that particular paper, from that particular journal, using Title and/or DOI and/or author name. And, for each article with different publishers (AIP, IOP, IEEE, Elsevier, JAP…).
I am a hard-worker :) and hence I use this Journal publisher method only when I couldn’t find it in one-three Google search.
In Google Scholar search, you will be able to see something similar to Image. 1, whenever you search for an article.
If not, enable citations option, from scholar preference setting (Image.2)

So, this present us the option to Import into BibTex, click on it, copy and paste it to JabRef (under, add new article=> BibTex Source) as shown in Image. 5.

Note: Its a good idea to use the JabRef magicwand to create your own unique bibtexkey (authorname_year).

Updated Solution to: How to Insert biography in IEEETran.Lyx
This method include the use of minipages and is much more elegant than the previously posted solution. However, it involves steps which are mentioned in the previous solution, so I will recommend to have a look at it first.
Step 1: Under the standard environment, insert a minipage (Insert–> Box–> Frameless)
Step 2: Inside the minipage, select the desired environment (biography with photo or without photo). Thereafter, write the biography and insert the author image, for inserting author image, refer to the previous solution.
Step 3: Under the standard environment, insert another minipage for the second author, repeat step 2.
After step 3 yourarticle.lyx will look similar to Image. 1.
Multiple authors can be defined just by repeating step 3.
The expanded minipage will look something like as shown in Image.2.
