LyX- How to insert LaTex code; using ERT ?

LaTex codes can be used along with LyX by using Evil Red Text (ERT).  These ERT’s  are useful  for inserting multicolumn author definition, local control over environment, page orientation, number of columns, text size, defining header and/or footers… and so on. For which the corresponding  LaTex code can directly be placed into yourarticle.lyx using the ERT. I really love the name Evil Red Text; and an additional specialty of these ERT’s is their ability to hide the EVIL LaTex code for me  (Right click on them ==> choose close inset) which gives a neat look to yourarticle.lyx.
To insert the ERT; the default keyboard shortcut is CTRL+L, whereas to insert it via menu see image.1.
