LyX- Some tips for multiline equations

Some general tips for multi-line equations;

1. Use AMS Gather or multiline or align environment;
2. For a new line use CTRL+Shift+Enter
3. For adding or removing numbering from a line: Right click on the line=> Check/Uncheck the option==> Number this line
4. For using various size brackets;

use ERT ( how to use ERT in LyX), then type “big(” without the double-qoute, this will give a big opening bracket. The following will give some other bracket sizes
